24 hours

  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp hoisan sauce
  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp chinese five spice
  • 1 tsp chinese sweet rice cooking wine
  • 1 tsp oyster sauce
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 4-5 drops red food coloring
  • 1 slab of ribs

1.) Slice rib slab into individual ribs.

2.) Mix all ingredients together.

3.) Place ribs into gallon size zip lock bag. Pour 3/4 of the sauce into the bag with the ribs and massage until all of the ribs are covered evenly.

4.) Marinate in the fridge overnight.

5.) When you’re ready to cook, wrap ribs tightly in aluminum foil. Bake at 450 degrees for 50 minutes.

6.) At the 50 minute point, take ribs out of the oven and open the aluminum foil, pour the remainder of the sauce onto the ribs and bake uncovered until crispy edges begin to appear.

*Best served with jasmine rice.

*If sugar leaks out and begins to burn, change out the aluminum foil for a new piece, but don’t forget to stop your timer while the ribs are out the oven!
